Faux in the Snow

18 Oct

Have some faux in the snow this winter with fur! We are spoilt for choice from the high street and just a touch of fur will really enhance your everyday winter look. There are fabulous faux furtippets‘ or add-ons that can be attached to the lapels of any boring winter coat for a bit of added glam! Above are a few of my top picks from the high street and online stores. Gilets are big news again this year and there are a variety of colours and styles available.

I’m a bit obsessed by this deep red fur jacket from ASOS the colour is just amazing and it looks so expensive! The snow leopard print from River Island is another option (you may blend into the scenery in a few months time though), or you could go for ┬áthe classic brown chestnut coloured fur coat from H&M. Not into full on fur? Use the little touches such as a scarf, tippet or bag to add some winter lux this season!

Scarves, Snoods and Shawls OH MY!

16 Aug

Being an absolute scarf and snood fiend I thought it was only right that I showed a few of my fave pics of the season available online and on the high street. Scarfs, snoods and shawls are one of the most versatile items in my wardrobe they can dress up any old t-shirt, coat or act as an alternative to wearing one at all (shawls!). I like to have huge black scarf/shawl with me while travelling on trains or planes for when it gets cold which it usually does! River Island have actually come up with the goods this season where you’ll see many of choices are from including this galaxy print scarf which I’m already in love with and will be bought very very soon!Miss Selfridge have a great grey and white skull print scarf a nod to Alexander McQueen no doubt. I also adore this red snood from Topshop it looks so warm and cozy. However as it’s only August there are jersey alternatives which are lightweight but still handy on cold evenings to throw in your bag!

I know many people still are yet to get on board with the snoods but they’re unbelievably comfortable and save you struggling with the right way to tie your scarf…I couldn’t recommend them more!
