All Laced Up

Ever since Kate Middleton walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey last April lace has truly earned a place in my wardrobe. It’s both feminine and sexy, you may first have thought of Dita Von Teese but now everyone from Emma Stone to Katie Holmes (Yes  really and looking fabulous in black lace on the cover of Spanish Vogue) are coveting this trend. Lanvin, Dior and Marc Jacobs all featured lace to name a few with Marc Jacobs opting for coloured lace which the high street has definitely picked up on. Below I’ve featured a few dressy and casual options for lace, particularly fond of the neon midi ASOS skirt and the green lace casual sweater from Zara.

The only rules to lace are to watch the length of dresses, shorts, sleeves etc as shown by Miranda Kerr and Emma Stone here, both sexy yet demure.

Lace is great! it is sexy, yet feminine and soft. Only a few garments can achieve that.

I’ve always wanted to try a pair of lace shorts but haven’t yet had the courage to do so (I’m afraid it’ll either look like granny panties or negligee in public…) This just reminded me to give it a go (:

yes you should! Maybe a black pair with tights in winter? (as long as you dont go lace on top too then you should get away with it not looking like negligee!)

I love the emerald jumper its a good look for festivals. Kate Middleton definitely started a trend, I blogged about how ASOS have even created a short bodycon version of her dress.
