Dark red to Mulberry shades have been hitting the high street in recent weeks ranging from ruby tones to dark purple which nicely accent camel trench-coats, trousers and other items which will be making their way back into stores for A/W. The mulberry shade is particularly forgiving for the fair-skinned for which I am grateful for come the winter months!
This little mac from H&M is a personal fave for the transitional summer/autumn months. I adore this bag and skirt from River Island, they look a lot more expensive and are a great high-street find. There is a shade to suit everybody and all available on the high street, A/W sorted!

I really love short suits, I like the colour blocking options and the clean, crisp white versions that just scream summer! However as I live in a perpetual rain cloud of an island I can only dream to wear one of these… Many celebs have been caught out sporting a short suit including Abbey Clancy, Chloe Sevigny and Eva Longoria (A short tuxedo really but looking amazing). I feel like it’s accessible for most people and have got my eye on this beauty from ASOS.
Although these suits are accessible and easy to imitate there are some guidelines that should be followed!
1. Tan entire legs with extreme care – it’s a glowing skin, jumped-into-the-suit-right-after-my-holiday kinda look.
2. Wearing the white version (see note 1.) & a nude heel will elongate the leg when paired with a high-waisted short.

Following on from Pippa, another Brit style icon is Alexa Chung, lover of british labels and famous for boosting Mulberry sales with the ‘Alexa’ bag, she wears simple clothes with quirky accents and generally looks cleaner and fresher (literally sometimes) than fellow Brit style icon Kate Moss. She is also one half of one of the most discreet ‘celeb’ couples with Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys. Her low-key festival style is constantly imitated but it is during fashion weeks around the world where Alexa’s style really shines. (See more…)
Pippa Middleton or ‘P- Middy’ (newspapers only …not to friends we presume), sister of Duchess of Cambridge Kate, the new style queen representing British style in a prim and proper way mixing designer with accessible high street pieces..
The perfect style icon to imitate, easy wearable pieces always thrown together with a fresh blow-dry and a smile!
